Louise graduated from Nickelsville High School in 1959. She worked at Three Creek Apparel in Grassy Creek for over 25 years while raising her four children, each of whom she treasured.

Born at home in Nickelsville, Louise was a lifelong resident. Other than visiting her children, in other states and a trip to Aruba, she loved to stay home to work on her flowers, go to church, and enjoy her family, friends and neighbors.

Louise had a never-ending generosity to all those that had a need. Her strong faith made her who she was and her testimony was her daily walk with Christ. It was easy to see Jesus in her. She was an encourager and never met or talked with anyone without leaving him or her with words to lift and encourage them.

Louise loved to minister to others through cards and notes and was fondly nicknamed the “Queen of Hallmark”. She always found a way to reach out with just the right words at the right time.

She also blessed others with her green thumb and talent for growing flowers. Many would come from miles around just to see her flowers. She shared freely bulbs or starts of her plants along with those words of love and encouragement.

Flowers are welcomed or you may contribute to Nickelsville First Baptist Church @11606 Nickelsville Hwy. Nickelsville, VA 24271.
