Mary Louise Salling, 91, Weber City, VA passed away, Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Brian Center, Weber City, VA.
Mrs. Salling was born in Scott County, VA on April 6, 1918, a daughter of the late Joseph Worley and Eva Louise Quillen Carter, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Salling; sisters, Myrtle Cox and Mattie Flanary; brothers, William (Bill) Carter, Lee Carter, and Joseph Worley Carter, Jr.
Surviving are her brother, Edwin Carter, and wife, Ingrid, Weber City, VA; sister, Ina Williams and husband, George P. (Junior), Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law, Hazel Carter, Gate City, VA and JoAnn Carter, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11- 1 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Pierce officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pierce will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
