Ruby Hass – Nickelsville, VA

Ruby (Owens) Hass, 75, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Ruby was born in Kingsport, TN on September 1, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula (Baldwin) Owens.

In addition to her parents, husband, Eddie Lee Hass, and seven sisters and one brother, five nephews, and one niece preceded her in death.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Margaret Denise (Hass) Jessee and husband, Otis Lee, and Melissa (Hass) Finch and husband, Ricky, grandchildren, Joshua Dingus, Jacob Dingus and fiancé, Leighann Hall, Milligan Jessee, and Otis Lee Jessee, Jr., and wife, Brianna, Larry Finch, and Jamie Henderson and wife, Deborah, great grandchildren, Isaac, Christopher, and Kiera Jessee, Shaylee Dingus, Alana, Waylon, Arebella, Bradley, Chandler, and William Henderson, sister, Blanche Gillenwater and husband, Jay; brother, Paul Owens and wife, Ina Faye, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Rick Quillen officiating. Tony Dingus will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, at Holston View Cemetery, Werber City, VA. Jacob Dingus, Larry Finch, Terry Wayne Compton, Joshua Dingus, Wesley Owens, and Wade Compton will serve as pallbearers,

Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 12:15 p.m., Monday to go in procession to the graveside service.
