Rose Marie Finch, 70, Nickelsville, VA, passed away, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at her residence.

Rose was born in Wise County, VA, on February 15, 1954, to the late William Alex Farmer Sr., and Emma Jean Proulex Farmer.

In addition to her parents, her grandchildren, Misty Casteel and Skylar Casteel; great granddaughter, Hadleigh Jones; and brothers, James Ray Farmer, Connie Lee Farmer, and Bruce Wayne Farmer preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joann (Steve) Skeens and Lynn (Tony) Casteel; grandchildren, Brittany (Jake) Wolford, Danielle (Ricky) Jones, Brandi (Josh) Trinkle, Landon Ellis, Cindy (Charles) Casseday, Dakota (Callie) Collins, Tyler (Whitney) Casteel; great grandchildren, Alianna, Bentley, Caylee, Braxton, Eli, Paisley, Addison, Annistyn, Addalyn, Ensley, Waylon, Abigail, and Kylie; brothers, Bobby Joe (Sue) Farmer, Randy Dale (Judy) Farmer, William Alex Farmer, Jr., and Chris Farmer; and sisters, Betty Ruth Hamilton, Carol Jean (Kevin) Compton, and Sheila Farmer.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Danny Kerns officiating.

Graveside services have been cancelled.

Steve Skeens, Tony Casteel, Dakota Collins, Tyler Casteel, Josh Trinkle, and Braxton Dean will serve as pallbearers. Zachary Dean, Bentley Neeley, Landon Ellis, Tyler Jones, Braxton Trinkle, and Eli Trinkle will serve as honorary pallbearers.
