Rosa Lee Vanzant – Duffield, VA

Rosa Lee (Hubbard) Vanzant, 82, Duffield, VA passed away, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her residence.

Rosa Lee was born in Scott County, VA on December 19, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Emma (Benton) Hubbard.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Kay Edward Vanzant, and her daughter-in-law, Robin Vanzant preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, Allen Vanzant and Eddie Vanzant, grandchildren, Megan (Fred) Taylor, Jacob Vanzant, and Heather Morelock, great grandchildren, Calleigh and Luke Taylor, Brayden Morelock, and Camden Lumpkins, special friend, her dog, Lucky, and many, many, many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jackie Frazier officiating. Courtney Lawson, and members of the Purchase Ridge Church will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Franklin Cemetery, Purchase Ridge, Duffield, VA. Lester Rhoton, Jacob Vanzant, Shane Hensley, Fred Taylor, Allen Gibson, Jimmy Davis, and Phillip Gibson will serve as pallbearers. Kelly Adams, Jimmy Adams and Jimmy Lane will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends are asked to meet at Franklin Cemetery for the graveside service.
