Mabel C. Booher Rogers – Kingsport, TN Mrs. Mabel C. Booher Rogers, 93, Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Indian Path Medical Center. Mrs. Rogers was born in Scott County, VA on December 24, 1916. She was the daughter of the late James E. "Ed" and Bertha C. Eads Booher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin C. Rogers; her sisters, Mary M. Booher Price, Emily I. Booher Jones, and E. Louise Booher Jones; and brothers, Billy J., Lindsay H., and Joe W. Booher. She is survived by her daughter, Ruthlyne "Rudy" Neeley and husband, W.H. "Bill", Blountville, TN; sons, Ronald Bruce Rogers and wife, Jo, Ft. Worth, TX, and Sammy D. Rogers and wife, Joann, Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Lisa C. Neeley Kite and husband, J.D., Candice Neeley, Bruce Rogers, II and wife, Betty, and Christopher Rogers; three great grandchildren; brother, James E. Booher; brothers-in-law, Charles Jones and Ernest Jones; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Pat Davis, Jr. officiating. Wayne Bledsoe will provide piano music. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
