Ima Jean Williams Robinson, 93, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Mrs. Robinson was born July 29, 1919 in Scott County, VA to the late Robert Lee and Lula Meade Williams.
Words cannot express the love we, her children, always felt. Our mother took pride in her family and home. She looked forward to Sundays, always expecting lots of family to stop by.
Our mother was a member of Free Hill Baptist Church in the Little Duck Community of Nickelsville.
She was a loving friend and neighbor to all and was loved by all who knew her. She never expressed unkind words of anyone. She was always a positive thinker and always saw the bright side.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Orville William Robinson, Sr.; son, Orville W. Robinson, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Janice C. Robinson; sons-in-law, Wayne Stapleton and Alton Lambert; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Henry Lee Robinson and wife, Patsy, Kingsport, TN, Freda Stapleton, Nickelsville, VA, Catherine Lambert, Castlewood, VA, Norma Jean Robinson, Nickelsville, VA, and Johnny Wayne Robinson and wife, Teresa, Nickelsville, VA; grandchildren, Carol Lea Elam and husband, Danny, Lee Robinson, Jr., Tammy Vargas and husband, Benito, Coy Robinson and wife, Melissa, Beverly Ivey and husband, Kevin, Waynette Marshall and husband, Roger, Ed Stapleton, Greg Robinson and wife, Sherry, Robin Mardones and husband, Tony, and Hope Avans and husband, Brad; great grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell and husband, David, Abby Godsey, Jacqueline Gillenwater and husband, Luke, Kevin Robinson, Ethan Vargas, Ashley Sykes and husband, Adam, Taylor Stapleton and wife, Whitney, Victoria Mardones, Katlyn Mardones, Neil Robinson and wife, Natasha , and Jennifer Robinson; step-great grandchildren, Ryan Marshall, Candice Seals and husband, Justin, and Nikki Ivey; great great grandchildren, Emily Grace Sykes, Brandon Stapleton, Kasey Robinson, Kylie Robinson, Bryson Bennett, Bailey Bennett, Kyleigh Gillenwater, Brady Mitchell; and step great great grandchild, Gabriel Marshall; sister, Anne Hackney, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Free Hill Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Beavers and Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating. Ed Stapleton, Greg Robinson, Lee Robinson, Coy Robinson, Kevin Robinson, Neil Robinson, and Taylor Stapleton will serve as pallbearers. Robert Williams, III, Robert Gullett, Emmitt Jessee, Jr., Floyd Salyer, and Donnie Osborne, Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
