Bobby Gene Rhoton, 68, Duffield, VA passed away, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence.
Bobby was born in Scott County, VA on March 28, 1951 to the late Everett and Betty Sue (Page) Rhoton.
He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy A. Rhoton, Duffield, VA; daughters, Bobbie Brown (John), Mount Carmel, TN, Rhonda Mullins (Conley), Church Hill, TN, and Cynthia Carver (Michael), Gate City, VA; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Gilliam, Gate City, VA, Patsy Combs (Gene), Lewisburg, OH, and Reta Peters, Yuma, VA; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Military graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Hensley Cemetery, with Pastor Sean Bailey officiating, and conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post #265, Gate City, VA, assisted by members of the Virginia Army National Guard Honors Team.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the Gate City Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
