Mrs. Deloris Ann Reed, 72, Cocoa, FL passed away, Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Gate City, VA after a short illness.
Mrs. Reed was born in Hollywood, FL on July 15, 1941 to the late Wallace A. and Eliza J. Mier Clifton, Sr.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Wallace A. Clifton, Jr. preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Curtis R. Reed, Cocoa, FL; daughters, Anita L. Reed, Cocoa, FL and Barbara Reed Wiedmann, Cocoa, FL; granddaughter, Taylor Wiedmann, Cocoa, FL; and nephew, Mark A. Clifton and wife, Julie, and children of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her sister-in-law, Gerald and Pat Tate. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Toby Reed and Evangelist Ricky N. Reed officiating. The Todd Sisters will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Wisley Cemetery in the Manville Community of Scott County, VA. Jack McDavid, Scott Reed, Daniel Thacker, Kent Perry, James Daugherty, Lance Dawson, and Tony Reed will serve as pallbearers. Winston Peters, Ricky Darnell, Bobby Gilliam, and Lowell Peters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
