Juanita Jean Redwine, 79, entered into rest Thursday, January 15, 2009 at her residence.
She was born September 13, 1929 in Sullivan County, TN to the late James Connard East and Nannie Myrtle Blankenbeckler.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Theda Jo Bishop, Frances Irene McConnell and brother-in-law, Paul J. McConnell; one brother, John Wesley East.
Mrs. Redwine was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of Gate City Presbyterian Church, Gate City, VA
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Elbert Rex Redwine, Nickelsville, VA; daughter, Donna Kay Campbell and husband, Michael, Nickelsville, VA; son, Mike Redwine, Nickelsville, VA; grandchildren, Roger Campbell and wife, Amy, Nickelsville, VA, Jennifer Campbell, Nickelsville, VA, Beth Williams and husband, J.C., Kingsport, TN and Kim Redwine, Salisbury, MD; great granddaughter, Braylee Williams, Kingsport, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia Gladys Hardee and Lynnwood, Cocoa, FL, Evelyn Jeanette Householder and Dave, Kokomo, IN, Barbara Ann Hargrove, Kokomo, IN, Glenda Gale East, Glendale, CA, and Nancy Darlene Chambers, Elizabethton, TN and a brother, James Dennis East, Kokomo, IN; special friend, Linda White, Nickelsville, VA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Services will be held at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Steve Collins officiating. Music will be provided by Jack Troutman.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will meet at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
