Ova Jane Ramsey, 73, entered into rest Friday, October 16, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County, VA December 15, 1935 to the late George and Pearly Harden. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Houston Ramsey; one sister, Bertha Stanley and one brother, Fewson Harden.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra A. and Ricky Qualls, Blackwater, VA, Carolyn and James Moneyhun, Jr., Kingsport, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Keith and Teresa Ramsey, Duffield, VA, James Robert and Christy Ramsey, Weber City, VA; foster sons, Michael Harden, Wichita, KS, Terry Harden, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Timothy N. Qualls, Mathew Ramsey, Jamie Ramsey, James "Curtis" Moneyhun, Michael Ramsey, Lucas Ramsey and Logan Ramsey; great grandchildren, Gavin, Haley, Brandon, and Adam Ramsey; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Eric Lockett officiating. Music will be provided by Greater Glory.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at the McNew Cemetery, Stanleytown Community. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Ramsey family.
