Kenneth Douglas Ramsey – Duffield, VA
Kenneth Douglas “Doug” Ramsey, 58, Duffield, VA, went Home to be with his Lord and loved ones, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Kingsport, TN on July 28, 1964, and was the son of the late Walter Jack and Emma Jane (McDavid) Ramsey.
In addition to his parents, a brother preceded him in death.
Doug is survived by his sons Joseph “Joey” Douglas Ramsey (Holly) and Scotty Ray Ramsey; sisters, Zola Williams (David) and Robin Dorton; brother, Wayne Ramsey (Brenda); grandchildren, Jasper, and Zoe Ramsey; best friend, Steve Hammonds; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Rye Cove, VA. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Jimmy Hammonds officiating. Church singers will provide the music.
Graveside services will follow at the McDavid Family Cemetery in the Bishop town community of Duffield, VA.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Steve Hammonds will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
