Mrs. Louise Greer Ramey, 82, White River Junction, VT passed away, Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Brookside Nursing Home.
Mrs. Ramey was born in Ft. Blackmore, VA on March 8, 1930.
She grew up in Virginia attending Virginia Intermont College. She married Albert J. Ramey in 1951. They lived in St. Petersburg, FL, Charleston, SC, Newport RI, Harrisonburg, VA, Raleigh, NC, and finally moved to Richmond, VA where they lived for 45 years.
She was active in First Baptist Church in Richmond and worked in the nursery for more than 35 years. Children were the great joy in her life.
She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Albert Jackson Ramey; daughters, Sharon Ramey Weaver, Hanover, NH and Ruth Ann Ramey Ross, Nags Head, NC, as well as two granddaughters, Eleanor Weaver, Nashville, TN and Claire Weaver, Williamsburg, VA.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
