Charles Sylvester Ramey, 54, Hiltons, VA passed away, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at his residence.
Charles was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 16, 1958 to the late Ervin Sylvester and Evelyn Peters.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Debbie Johnson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Susanna Hall Ramey, Hiltons, VA; sons, Matthew Charles Ramey, Bristol, VA and Joseph Edward Ramey and wife, Jessi, Gate City, VA; daughter, Samantha Rose Ramey and fiance, Andrew Sage, Kingsport, TN, grandchildren, Caleb, Nevaeh, Aiden; sister, Linda Johnson, SC, Betty Murray, FL, and Nancy Bright, Blountville, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Gillenwater, Rev. Danny Felty, and Rev. James Willis officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Mike Hobbs, David Tester, Jim Johnson, Johnny Orfield, Robert Collins, Logan Gunner and Tracey Cook will serve as pallbearers.Jim Kimble, Jesse Hall and Steve Osborne will serve as honorary pallbearers.
