Mable Lee Qualls – Duffield VA
Mable Qualls, 98, Duffield, VA, went peacefully to sleep in the arms of Jesus December 25, 2018 Christmas Day.
Mable was born in Scott County, VA on February 1, 1920 to the late Frank and Estella Tomlinson Qualls.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.D Qualls, C.D, and Gerald; sisters, Anna Mae Hall, Novenia Smith, Nancy Sizemore, Stella June Qualls, and infant baby girl.
Mable always lived at home with her parents and helped work on the farm.
She professed faith in Christ many years ago. She attended Purchase Community Church.
Mable was a wonderful loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great- aunt, and friend to many. She was a great inspiration to her family. They take comfort in knowing that through their faith in Christ that they, one day at Gods appointed time will be reunited to live with Christ forever in the Holy City of New Jerusalem.
Left to cherish her memory are sister, Imogene Jennings, Gate City, VA; brother, Edward (Dorothy) Qualls, Duffield, VA. Mable was called aunt Mable, great aunt Mable, great-great aunt Mable by a great host of nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Chuck Grimm officiating. Music will be provided by Cathy and Wesley Qualls.
Burial will follow the service, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Nephews Joseph Adams, Daniel Vermillion, Jimmy, Ronnie, Donnie, and David Qualls will serve as pallbearers.
