Rhonda Deloris Powers, 53, Nickelsville, VA passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Rhonda was born in Sullivan County, TN on June 14, 1964 to the late Cecil and Grace (Price) Lawson.
Her parents, Cecil and Grace (Price) Lawson preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Catfish Powers, Nickelsville, VA;; two sons, Cory “Rooster” Powers and fiancée, Teah McPeek, Nickelsville, and Jamey Byington, North Dakota; two grandchildren, Benix and Hayden Byington; brother, Lynn Lawson and wife, Sherry, Kingsport, TN; fur babies, Lucy, LuLu, and Whiskey; her horse, Nugget; her close friends, Lou Bailey, Kingsport, TN and Renee’ Gooden, Nickelsville, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Tim Townes
Graveside services will follow the services at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
