Thelma Poole, 91, Nickelsville, VA passed away on December 1, 2016 at NOVA Health and Rehab Center in Weber City, VA.
Thelma was born in Scott County on April 1, 1925 to the late Lura (Powers) and Lonnie Brown.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Poole; grandson, Charles “Chucky” Perry; sisters, Lois Patrick and Willma Browning.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Eiland, Utah, Carolyn Sutherland, Florida and step-daughter, Laura Amigo, San Diego, CA; step-son, Robert Poole and wife, Peggy, Los Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Lynette Oleny, William Sutherland, Jr., and John Sutherland; great-grandchildren, Thomas Oleny, Wyatt Sutherland, and Harper Sutherland; step great-grandchildren, Garrett and Christian Poole; sisters, Bernice Rynes, Bristol, VA and Marie Little, Castlewood, VA and host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for the graveside service.
