Elizabeth Pleasant, 76, Mt. Carmel, TN passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Ms. Pleasant was born in Scott County, VA on January 8, 1931, daughter of the late W.E. and Julia Munsey Pleasant.
In addition to her parents, her son, Emmit Harold Kimberlin and sister, Marie Collins preceded her in death.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many, with open arms and love to all.
Surviving her are her daughters, Julia Hanmer and husband, Michael, Kingsport, TN and Patsy Irene Sensabaugh, Mt. Carmel, TN, son, Danny Mays, Mt. Carmel, TN, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and brother, Fred Pleasant along with several nieces and nephews and her special friends, Tammy and Donny.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Bernard Walters officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
