Valice Jean Perry, Ft. Blackmore, VA
Valice Jean Perry, 75, of Ft. Blackmore, VA, passed away Thursday, March, 31, 2016 at Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Perry was born in Scott County, VA on January 21, 1941, to the late Brownie Logan and Mattie Hensley Dockery.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Perry is preceded in death by her husband Billie Emerson Perry; brothers Donnie Dockery and Emmitte Dockery.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her daughters Tina Gibson, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Peggy Archer, Parma, OH; sons, Michael Scott Perry, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Billie Perry, Jr., Tucson AZ, Timmy Perry, Cleveland, OH; eleven sisters and brothers; eleven grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. James Mann officiating and a eulogy performed by Scotty Perry. James McConnell will provide the music.
Graveside Services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Carter Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside.
