Marion Jayne Boatright Pendleton, 89, Gate City, VA passed away, Monday, December 16, 2013 at Crown Cypress Assisted Living, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Pendleton was born in Scott County, VA on December 20, 1923 to the late Hoyt and Ena Boatright.
She was active in many church activities, including the Women's Missionary Union, Clinch Valley Baptist Association and others, as well as DAR and NARFE.
In addition to her parents, her husband, C.S. Pendleton, Jr. and twin daughters, Susan and Nataleen Pendleton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Ron Pendleton, Kingsport, TN, Pete Pendleton and wife, Debbie, Gate City, VA, Chuck Pendleton, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Samantha Jo Pendleton, Johnson City, TN and Westley Miles Pendleton, Gate City, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5 -7 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 at The First Baptist Church, Gate City, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Andy Barnes and Rev. Jeff Deboard officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Friends of the church will serve as pallbearers.
