Megan Nicole Peak, 27, Coeburn, VA passed away, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center ER.
Megan was born in Sullivan County, TN on December 16, 1987 to Ann and Junior Peak.
She was Assistant Manager of Pizza Plus, Nickelsville, VA.
She was a 2006 graduate of Twin Springs High School and was her Daddy’s Little Girl and always said her Moma was her Bestest Friend.
Her children were her world and she was the best mother ever. She was kind, sweet, caring, and loving to everyone. Always willing to help anyone in need and had a great sense of humor. Everyone loved Megan.
Her paternal grandparents, Oscar and Mildred Peak and her maternal grandfather, Melvin Cordle preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Payton J. Peak, Keaton J. Peak, and Huston J. Peak, her parents, Ann and Junior Peak, Coeburn, VA; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Cordle; her honorary sisters, Melinda Hunt, Kendle Collins, Nikki Owens, Heather Laney, Shauna Collins, Michelle Glover, Amy Hill, Danielle Craiger, and Jess Smith; honorary brothers, Terry Peak, Jr., and Dan Laney; along with several special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Danny Darnell and Rev. Walter Taylor officiating. The Meade Family, Courtney Wallen, and Timothy Craiger will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Laney Cemetery, near High Knob, VA. Nikki Owens, Shauna Collins, Michelle Glover, Kendle Collins, Jess Smith, Dan Laney, Terry Peak, Jr., Tommy Sawyer, and Ryan Dooley will serve as pallbearers. Danielle Craiger, Glenn Nickels, Daniel Sluss, and Tashina Sawyer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m, Friday to go in procession to the graveside service.
