Marie (Christian) Patrick, 83, Hiltons, VA passed away, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her residence.
Marie was born in Pounding Mill, VA on July 17, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Augustus and Cora Bell (Brewster) Christian.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Martha Christian Brown, Gladys Christian Harris, and Cara Christian Patrick; and brothers, Miller, Blaine, and Henry Christian preceded her in death.
She worked in retail for many years and was an original member of First Presbyterian Church of Gate City, VA.
Her survivors include her daughter, Armanda Patrick Cox and husband, Hal, Irving, TX; grandson, Christian Patrick Cox, Plano, TX;her partner, Jerry Swift, Hiltons, VA; sister, Nancy (Christian) Dunavan, Tazewell, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2016 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Ray Amos officiating. Carla Cox will provide the music.
Burial will follow the services at the Herman Cemetery, Hiltons,VA.
In lieu of flowers Marie has requested donations be made to either First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 506, Gate City, VA 24251 or Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery Assoc., c/o Charlotte Hartgrove, 303 Hedge Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660.
