Robin Rena Page, 47, Kingsport, TN passed away, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with lupus.
Robin was born in Sullivan County, TN on November, 26, 1966 to the late Billy Charles Page and Peggy Irene Lane Starnes. She was a graduate and athlete of Gate City High School. Robin remained an avid softball player until the time of her illness. She was employed as a machine operator with DARAMIC.
She is survived by her sisters, Debbie Page, Kingsport, TN and Tabitha Starnes Williams, Gate City, VA; nephews, Justin Woods and Holly Fields, and Blake Woods and wife, Brandy; nieces, Destiny Ryans, Aleah Fields, and Jordan Fields; special niece, Caitlin Ryans; great niece, Presley “Peanut” Woods who was the joy of her life; her second mother, Aunt Pat Bates; special friend of 24 years, Trudy Fields and special cousins, Lanez Manis and Mark Manis; and her faithful companion, Clompy; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her sister, Debbie Page. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Sallee officiating and eulogies by family members. Terry Bennett and Sabrina Hess will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Tri-City Memorial Gardens, Blountville, TN. Buddy Rossi, Ken Bates, Joey Fields, Mark Manis, Justin Woods, Blake Woods, Barnie Fields, and Rick Joyner will serve as pallbearers. Alan Bates will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Gate City Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
