Lena Mae Page – Gate City, VA
Lena Mae Page, 80, Gate City, VA went home to be with Jesus after a brief illness.
Born in Scott County, VA on December 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Ollie Hensley Lane.
Lena Mae was of the Baptist faith and attended Alley Valley Church before her illness prevented her from doing so.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Charlie Page preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Page and wife, Loretta, Gate City, VA, Jerry Page and wife, Betty, Gate City, VA, Dale Page and wife, Rita, Gate City, VA, and Rick Page, Gate City, VA; daughter, Tina Page, Weber City, VA; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Craft, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Olene Williams, Gate City, VA, Barbara Bise, Gate City, VA, and Gladys Lane and husband, Carl Lee, Church Hill, TN; brothers, Kenneth Lane, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Ray Lane and wife, Bess, Ft. Blackmore, VA; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. George Gibson and Rev. Dewey Shaffer officiating. Chris Holder and Journey Home will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Lane Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
