Jimmy Franklin Page, 69, Gate City, VA passed away, Friday, April 20, 2012 at his residence after a long illness.
Jimmy was born in Scott County, VA on June 18, 1942 to the late Kenneth Franklin and Phobia Adeline Reed Page. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a diesel mechanic for truck freight lines.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents.
Jimmy is survived by his adopted grandson, Wayne Clinton "Clint" Page of Gate City, VA, favorite cousin and best friend, William Robbins of Fairview, VA and numerous other cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff DeBoard and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Music will be provided by Gary Hunley.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Page Cemetery in Robinette Valley Community, Speers Ferry, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers, per Jim, "If you need pay, I will pay you the next time I see you".
