Clinchport, VA – Ethel Wolfe Page, 84, entered into rest August 30, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County, VA November 19, 1924 to the late John S. Wolfe and May St. Clair Wolfe.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Emory Page, November 1, 2000; sister, Dorothy Johnson; brothers, John, Frank, Billy and Junior Wolfe; grandson, Glen Page; great grandson, Logan Quillen; son-in-laws, Jimmy White and Randy Hutchens.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce White, Kingsport, TN, Miranda Hutchens, Church Hill, TN, Marietta Bausell and husband, Kent, Kingsport, TN; sons, Tom Page and wife, Boots, Kingsport, TN, Roy Page and wife, Merita, Kingsport, TN, Roger Page, Jonesboro, TN, Jackie Page and wife, Sherry, Kingsport, TN, Randall Page and wife, Sharon, Wartburg, TN, Harvey Page and wife, Jenny, Kingsport, TN; brother, Ballard Wolfe, Church Hill, TN; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her son, Tom Page. Services will be at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wrightly Salling and Rev. Roy Lane officiating. Music will be provided by Vickie and Tommy Austin, Shanna Quillen and Miranda Page Hutchens accompanied by pianist, Linda Vaughn.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Page Family Cemetery, Robinette Valley Community with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating. The family will meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Tom, Roy, Roger, Jack, Randall and Harvey Page and son-in-law, Kent Bausell.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dale Page, Charlie Hutchens, Jay Page and Collin Page.
