Charlie Page, 85, Gate City, VA was called Home by his Lord on April 2, 2011. His days of suffering and pain are over.
Charlie was a quiet, gentle soul, and everyone who met him loved him. He will be sadly missed.
Mr. Page was born in Scott County, Virginia on January 1, 1926, the son of the late Joseph and Laura Williams Page.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maggie Page and a brother, James Page. Surviving is his wife, Lena Mae Page, Gate City, VA; daughter, Tina Page, Weber City, VA; sons, Larry Page, and wife, Loretta, Gate City, VA; Jerry Page and wife, Betty, Gate City, VA, Rick Page, Gate City, VA, and Dale Page and wife, Rita, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Holly Arrington, Lindsey Page, Autumn Page, Ethan Page, Destinee Page, Brandon Page, Darrell Page, Melissa Page, Michael Page, and James Page; great grandchildren, Brett and Brooke Page ; sister, Margie Wolfe, Duffield, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Willie Neeley and George "Ed" Gibson officiating. Eddie Roberts will provide the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011at the Lane Cemetery. Darrell Page, Brandon Page, Randy Bise, and Danny Craft will serve as pallbearers. Gary Wayne Dockery will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
