Phyllis Carolyn Osborne- Dungannon, VA Dungannon, VA — Phyllis Carolyn Osborne, 67 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Brian Center, Weber City, VA, surrounded by her family. She was born in Scott County VA June 27, 1943, a daughter of Harvey and Estelle Tipton. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church of Dungannon, VA. She was loved by her family and everyone that knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Osborne, sister, Lillie Mae Thacker, brothers, Ivan, James, Ralph, Charlie and Claude Tipton, and nephew, Tony Tipton. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce and husband, Jimmy Dockery, Pam France, Judy and husband, Wayne Pendleton, all of Gate City, VA; sisters-in-law, Mary, Cenna, and Ginger Tipton; brothers-in-law, Harold Osborne and M.J. Mann; nieces, Debbie Seals, Tammy Barrett, Kim Tipton, Cindy Cantrill, Gwen Parker, Tonya Sanders, Kwan Tiptan, Reva Roberson; nephews, Larry Tipton, Scott Tipton, Steven Tipton, Michael Tipton, Bobby Tipton, Brian Tipton, Brent Tipton, Brandon Jones, Marty France, Anthony Dockery, David Dockery and Marvin Dockery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 29, 2011 at Gate City Funeral Home in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and other times at the residence of her sister Joyce Dockery, Misty Morning Circle, East Carter's Valley Rd.. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.at Valley View Baptist Church, Dungannon, VA. with Rev. L.W. "Red" Salling and Brother Danny Cowden officiating. Music will be provided by Opal Duncan. Burial will follow at Dockery Family Cemetery in Dungannon, Va. Pallbearers will be Anthony Dockery, David Dockery, Marvin Dockery, David Seals, Brandon Jones and Chris Tipton. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Brian Center for all their excellent care and kindness shown to Phyllis.
