Glenn Edsel Nuckels, 77, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his residence.
Glenn was born in Scott County, VA on July 28, 1936 to the late Bob and Sally Noel Nuckels.
In addition to his parents, his brothers, Lowell, Frank and Johnny Nuckels preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Nuckels, Gate City, VA; daughters, Sheila Shelton and husband, Bryan, Gate City, VA, Donna Davidson, Kingsport, TN, Debbie Sallings, Church Hill, TN; sons, Shannon Nuckels and wife, Rhonda, Kingsport, TN, Mark Nuckels and wife, Michelle, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Lona Hickman, Indiana, Margie Vanzant, Gate City, VA; brother, Fred Nuckels, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Kayla Nuckels, Lakeisha Shelton, Kristina Shelton, Nebraska Nuckels, Alaska Nuckels, Heath Davidson, Marcie Perry and Becky Copas; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Ronald Manis and Rev. Otto Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will follow the service, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Sloantown Community Cemetery in the Sloantown Community of Scott County. Eddie Clendenin, Brian Doran, Roger McMurray, Shannon Williams, Roger Woods, and Bryan Shelton will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends will go in procession to the graveside service.
