Joyce Caudill – Duffield, VA

Norma Joyce Caudill, 81, passed away, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at her residence.

Joyce was born in Scott County, VA, on April 3, 1942, to the late Vernon Caudill and Lottie Stanley Caudill.

Joyce worked as a secretary at the Pentagon, an executive secretary in Hialeah, Florida, Detroit, Michigan, and she retired from Breadhoff- Kiser in Washington, DC. She also had a great love for her cats.

Preceding her in death, are her parents, Vernon, and Lottie Stanley Caudill.

Surviving Joyce are her sisters, Sharion Gillenwater (Fred), and Laverna Whipple (Frank); nieces, Lora LaRue (Clint), and Sara Heath (John); nephews, Brandon Gillenwater (Leslie), and Grant Whipple (Allyson); and several great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; and three, great- great nephews; special great nephew, Zachary LaRue, who did many things for her; a special cousin, Vicky Bowen, who took her to appointments, took care of her and her cats; and special friends and acquaintances.

Joyce’s wishes were to be cremated; a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
