Steven Phillip "Steve" Neeley, 57, Duffield, VA passed away, Saturday, May 26, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained in a tractor accident.
Mr. Neeley was born in Sullivan County, TN on May 17, 1955 to Eva Barker Neeley.
Steve loved to farm and take of care of his livestock and his two dogs. He was dearly loved by his family and they will miss him.
His grandparents, James L. and Rosa Barker preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Eva Barker Neeley, Kingsport, TN; sister, Ginger Brandon and husband, Richard, Kingsport, TN; a very special uncle, Shelburne Barker, Clinchport, VA; a very special cousin, Pam Barker Shirey, Kingsport, TN; and nephews, Alex, Kyle, James, and Spencer Brandon, all of Kingsport, TN; along with several other aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bob Underwood officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
