Eva Barker Neeley – Duffield, VA

Eva M. (Barker) Neeley, 87, Kingsport, TN passed away, Friday, April 17, 2020 at her residence after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Neeley was born in Scott County, VA on February 26, 1933, and was the daughter of the late James Lawrence and Rosa (Carter) Barker.
She retired from the Jewel Box and was a member of Morrison City Christian Church, East Carter’s Valley.
She was a loving, wonderful mother and grandmother who adored her boys, their wives, and her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her son, Steven Phillip Neeley (2012); and brothers, Shelburne and Chester Barker preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Ginger Brandon and husband, Richard, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Alex Brandon, Kyle Brandon, James Brandon and wife, Caitlin, and Spencer Brandon and wife, Logan; great grandchildren, Henry Brandon and Harlow Brandon; sisters, Carol Absher and husband, Edward. Clarcie Lane, and Freddie Lewis and husband, Ross; several special nieces, Pam, Trois, Tonja, Beverly, Julie, Tracy, Carla, and Robin.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Letha, Sarah, Megan, Jennifer, Amy, Ashley, and Chasidy; and her nurse, Kellie, for all of the love, care, and support of Mom.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA conducted by Rev. Bob Underwood. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Morrison City Christian Church at a later date.
