Wanda E. Kaylor Necessary – Ft. Blackmore, VA
Wanda E. Kaylor Necessary, 97, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2016.
Wanda was born in Scott County, VA on March 30, 1919. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Bonnie (Flanary) Stewart.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Ruth Crook, Myrtle Blevins, Hattie Osborne, Bridgell Addington, and Jo Brickey; brothers, James and Mack Stewart; her first husband and father of her children, Elmer Lee “Buster” Kaylor along with two children, Tommy Joe Kaylor and Julia Mae Dorton; her second husband, Walter Necessary and three grandchildren.
Her survivors include one son, David Lee Kaylor and wife, Geri, Appalachia, VA; daughter-in-law, Jean Kaylor, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Helen Milton, Cincinnati, OH and Faye Carter, Etawah, NC; four step children, Iris Gillenwater, Rabern Necessary, Cleda Garland and Gilbert Necessary; along with 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and another due any time; plus a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Todd Cassell, Rev. Danny Darnell, and Rev. Lonnis “Red” Salling officiating. The Hensley Singers will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Flanary Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
