FT. BLACKMORE, Va. - Sallie Drucilla Nash ., 85, entered into rest Saturday, June 25, 2016, at her residence. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Greenwood Baptist Church.
She was born in Scott County, Va., on June 23, 1930 to Noah Edward Taylor and Thelma McConnell. Preceded in death by her loving parents; husband, Ertel Nash; and brother, Rev. Bill Taylor.
Survivors include; two daughters and sons-in-law, Clara Sue Hammonds, Ft. Blackmore, VA, and Janice Evelyn and Tommy Gillenwater, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Garland and Shelia Nash, Nickelsville, Va., Odene Nash Jr., James Randall Nash, and Billy Ray and Patricia Nash, all of Ft. Blackmore, Va.; sisters, Hazel Dingus, Hannah Dean, Zelda Widdle, Barbara Lane and husband Tyler, all of Nickelsville, VA; Edith Dean and husband Lawrence, Gate City, VA; brothers, Carl Taylor and wife Irene, Howard Taylor and wife Belinda, Frank Taylor and wife Debbie, all of Nickelsville, VA, Noah Taylor II and wife Carol, Gate City, VA; as well as 14 grandchildren,8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Family will receive friends at Gate City Funeral Home on Monday, June 27, 2016, 5-7p.m.and other times at her residence. Services will be in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tilden Nash and Rev. Donnie Archer officiating
Music will be provided by David and Debbie Easterling.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA.
The family will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Taylor, Harley Nash, Tristan Nash, Nathan Nash, Samuel Gillenwater, and Tommy Gillenwater.
