Myrtle Tipton Ramey – Fort Blackmore, VA

Myrtle Tipton Ramey, 88, Fort Blackmore, VA passed away, Friday, November 8, 2024.

Myrtle was born on March 20, 1936, to the late Kelly and Lillie (Kinkead) Tipton

In addition to her parents, her daughter, Linda Faye Ramey, brothers, Odis (Doc), James Kelly, Charles, Leonard, Willie, and Junior, and one sister, Shirley Jordan preceded her in death.

Myrtle enjoyed sewing, quilt making, and working outdoors.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 72 years, Lonnie (Did) Ramey, three daughters, Wilma (Garnie) Salyer, Kathy (Jimmy) Starnes, Joan Payne, two sons, Jimmy (Judy) Ramey and Joey (Diane) Ramey, eight grandchildren, Pamela, Amanda, Kimberly, Kaylee, Rhianna, Christopher, Jennifer, and Elizabeth, eight great grandchildren, Collin, Maddison, Emma, Henry, RaeLyn, Remi, Nathan, and Jacob, one sister, Rhonda (Carl) Hall, and brother-in-law. John Jordan.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Starnes Cemetery, Fort Blackmore, VA with Rev. Robbie Dockery officiating. Todd Jennings will provide the music.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:45 a.m., at the Starnes Cemetery for the graveside service.
