Mrs. Virginia Pauline Kendrick Mullins, 77, Bristol, VA passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Wellmont Hospice, Bristol, TN.
Born in Scott County, VA on November 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Oscar and Etta Mae Stallard Kendrick.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Herbert L. Mullins; grandson, Nathan Murray; great grandson, Caden Barb; sisters, Ida Hensley, Nannie Marie Simmons, Jolene Quillen, Mildred Kendrick, Monnie Gillenwater, and Manie Coulter; and brothers, Palmer Kendrick, Earl Clifford Kendrick, Elmer Kendrick, and Broadus Kendrick preceded her in death.
She is survived by; daughters, Sereta Fleenor and husband, Gary, Bristol, VA, Judy Booker and husband, Steve, Bristol, VA, Marcia Scyphers and husband, Mark, Bristol, TN, and Lori Carrigan and husband, Sean, Abingdon, VA; son, Ronnie Mullins and wife, Pat, Marion, VA; grandchildren, Kim Maines, Dustin Fleenor, Sharla Barb, Derek Booker, Crystal Colley, Beth Murray, Erik Carrigan, and Connor Carrigan; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Kilgore, Kingsport, TN, Elsie Mae Childress, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. A short visitation and funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the Mausoleum at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA with the Rev. Carl Young officiating.
The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Medical, Bristol Regional Cancer Center and Wellmont Hospice Center for their care and kindness.
