Phillip Minton, 47, Mount Carmel, TN passed away, Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Minton was born in Sullivan County, TN on May 17, 1968 to Curtis Allen and Ada Murriel White Minton.
Leaving behind his loving family, wife, Lisa Minton, Mount Carmel, TN; step daughter, Tiffany McCamy, Kingsport, TN; parents, Curtis Allen and Ada Murriel White Minton; brothers, Terry and wife Lisa Minton, Hiltons, VA, Ronald Dale Minton, Yuma, VA; special grandchildren who he loved very much, Hannah, Bryson McCamy, Kingsport, TN; special nephew, Brandon Minton; special friend Marilynn Cole, along with a host of other friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Buford Blankenbeckler, Rev. Dwayn Williams officiating. The invocation and opening prayer by Rev. G.W. White. Greg and Becky White will provide the music. Eulogy and song to be performed by Tommy Salyer.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Jeff Mann, David Wilbanks, Jeff White, Gerald White, Kenny Million and Tommy Salyer will serve as pallbearers. Bruce Snapp, Garnie Snavely, Jerry Neccesary, Jack Thompson, Robert Sturgill, Howard Gillenwater, and Regan McMurray will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m., Thursday to go in procession to the graveside service.
