Eddie Joe Miller -68, entered into rest March 29, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Eddie is the son of the late Dorothy Opal Green McClellan.
Eddie was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Vietnam era.
Surviving is his wife, Katherine E. Miller of Gate City, VA, daughter and son-in-law; Rachel Miller Hess and Bryan of Kingsport, TN. a sister and brother-in-law; Mary Alice McClellan and Mike of Gate City, VA., grandchildren, Samantha Jo Hess and C.J. Hess, along with special niece, Donna Caldwell, Church Hill, TN and other nieces and nephews.
Military Graveside service for Mr. Miller will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Franklin Cemetery in the Bishop Town Community of Rye Cove, VA conducted by American Legion Hammond Post # 3 of Kingsport and # 265 Gate City along with the Virginia National Guard. Rev. Nancy Hobbs will be officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
