Callie B. McLemore – Kingsport, TN
Callie B. McLemore, 89, Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2017 at her home.
Callie was born in Scott County, VA on March 14, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Carnelious Cleveland and Ora (Baldwin) Davidson.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Kathleen Chess, Effie Davidson. And Nell Dingus; and brothers, Roy, Clay, Robert, Charlie, and Earl Davidson; preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, David D. McLemore, Kingsport, TN; daughters, Callie Jean Calhoun, Kingsport, TN and Sandra Gayle Woods Eshelman and husband, Jack, Kingsport, TN, and adopted daughter, Judith Ann Fletcher, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, David Woods and Heather Sanderford and husband, Alex; great grandchildren, David Sanderford and Leah Sanderford; sisters, Mary Davidson, Kingsport, TN and Nannie Kate Nelms, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at their home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Coomer officiating.
Entombment services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. David Woods, Jack Eshelman, Alex Sanderford, Jack Eshelman, Sr., and Daniel Russell will serve as pallbearers.
