Benny Lee McGlothlin, 49, entered into rest Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at his residence.
He was born August 6, 1959 in Richlands, VA. He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin Ralph McGlothlin.
He was a loving father, grandfather and loved serving the Lord.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shauna Condry and husband, Robert, Kingsport, TN, and Miranda Hamm, Marion, VA; four sons, Jon McGlothlin and fiancée, Heather Elliott, Kingsport, TN, Logan McGlothlin, Weber City, VA, Brandon Spitzer, Kingsport, TN and Brandon Hamm, Marion, VA; three grandchildren, Taylor Condry, Kelsea Condry and Noah Spitzer; nieces, Leigh McGlothlin, Elyssia Reedy and Lauren Rose McGlothlin; mother, Phyllis McGlothlin, Hiltons, VA; sister, Bonnie McGlothlin, Hiltons, VA; brother, Buddy McGlothlin and wife, Veronica, Cedar Bluff, VA; very special friend, Harry Vicars, Kingsport, TN.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Sheryl Merritt, Rev. Buddy and Rev. Veronica McGlothlin officiating. Music will be provided by Veronica McGlothlin. Eulogy will be given by Harry Vicars.
The family will be meeting at 4:45 p.m. at Hankins Cemetery, Richlands, VA. Graveside service will be at 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Pendleton, Darrell James, Robert Condry, David Willis, Justin Williams, Billy Osborne, Brandon Hamm and Harry Vicars.
