James Clinton McGee ? Yuma, VA.
James Clinton McGee, 90 ? entered into rest January 18, 2008 at Brookhaven Manor. Born in Scott county, VA on March 6, 1917 to the late Lee Andrew and Maggie Winegar McGee.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son in 2002, Wendell Joe McGee. A grandson, Joel Scott Alley in 2001. Sisters, Lucile Winegar and Clara McGee. Two brothers, Clarence and Roy McGee.
Mr. McGee was the owner of McGee Grocery in Yuma, VA. for over 70 years, a charter member and first president of Yuma Ruritan Club and also a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church for 40 plus years.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Maggie McGee of Yuma, VA. four daughters and sons ? in ? law: Nancy and Doyle Alley of Gate City, VA., Linda McGee and Kenneth Bowling of Dublin, VA, Jama and Bill Mason of Radford, VA and Joy and Randy Chapman of Johnson City, TN. A son and daughter- in — law; Jimmy C. and Malina McGee II of Gate City, VA. One sister, Ruby Taylor of Brea, CA. Grandchildren and grandchildren ? in ?law: Andy and Jenny Stewart Glenn, Angie Alley, Brad and Angelia Alley, Clint and Kim McGee, Fred Mason, Katie Mason, Emily Glenn, Chris Bowling and Kelly Bowling. Great grandchildren are Nate Glenn and Clara McGee. Three step grandchildren; Norah Slone, Alyssa Chapman and Adam Chapman. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 12:00 noon ? 3:00 p.m. at the Gate City Funeral Home and on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 12:00 noon until the service and anytime at the residence. The service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2008 in the Gene Falin Memorial chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Alan Karnes officiating. Mr. McGee's daughter, Linda, will give the eulogy. Kim McGee will provide music.
Interment will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2008 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
Pallbearers will be Wayne McGee, Billy McGee, Jack Sanders, Brad Alley, Andy Glenn, Clint McGee, Chris Bowling and Fred Mason.
