Mary Carole Roach McDavid – Duffield, VA, 80, entered into eternal rest to be with her heavenly Father Friday, October 7, 2022, at her home.
She was born in Sullivan County, TN on August 29, 1942, to the late James Henry and Oma Lucy Shupe Roach.
As a childcare giver for many years, she touched the lives of countless children. Her influence on their lives will continue forever.
In addition to her parents, her nephew, Keith Douglas Roach and brother, James Roach preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald McDavid; sister, Rebecca Sue Roach (Mack) Lark; brothers, John Henry (Mary) Roach and Keith Douglas (Shirley) Roach; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Vernon McDavid officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the McDavid Family Cemetery, 1243 Cliff Mtn. Way, Duffield, VA. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be receiving friends any time at the home of her brother Henry Roach.
