Mary June Fletcher McCoy –Weber City, VA
Mary June Fletcher McCoy 88, entered into her heavenly home on Monday, April 15, 2013 with her family by her side.
She was born March 8, 1925 in Sullivan County, TN the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Norma Ellen Franklin Fletcher.
She was a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Minton McCoy; step-mother, Ava Nell Smith Fletcher; sons-in-law, Ronald Wayne Elliott and Lester Allen Spivey; brother-in-law, Brinton "Bud" Robertson and nephew John M. Robertson.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Elliott, Gate City, VA, Susan Kilgore and husband, Danny, Gate City, VA and Debra Spivey, Burlington, NC; sons, Daniel McCoy and wife, Cindy, Roanoke and James McCoy, Kingsport, TN; 13 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; sister, Anna L. Robertson, Kingsport, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
June will be remembered for her positive attitude and her lovely smile. She was loved by all who knew her.
The Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Barber and M.A. Lunsford officiating. Music will be provided by Judy McConnell.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends and Family are asked to meet at 10:15 a.m at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Church Hill Health Care and Rehab, Residents activity fund, 701 W. Main Blvd, Church Hill, TN 37642 or the Community Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1407, Gate City, VA.
The Family would like to thank her special doctor, Wesley Eastridge and her caregivers at the Brian Center and Church Hill Healthcare for their loving care of "June Bug".
