Alice Audrey McCoy, 83, entered into rest August 28, 2008 at Lonesome Pine Hospital.
She was born March 29, 1925 in West Virginia to the late Fred McDonald and Dora Roberts.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by one great granddaughter; four sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband, Chester McCoy, Dungannon, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Unita and Spencer Altman, Aynor, SC, Glenita and Weldon Bell, Mountain City, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Laurie McCoy, Dungannon, VA, Dennis and Marie McCoy, North Charleston, SC, Terry and Frances McCoy, Summerville, SC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice and Lee Jones, West Virginia, Chloe Rose, Ladson, SC, Maxine and Harlan Caldwell, Corbin, KY, Dean Burris, Bluefield, W. VA, Darlene Christian, Richlands, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Conwell and Shirley McDonald, Pleasant Garden, NC, Gail and Louise McDonald, Pleasant Garden, NC; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
