Helen F. McConnell, 87, Kingsport, TN passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Brookhaven Manor, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. McConnell was born in Scott County, VA on March 28, 1927 to the late Annis Blankenbeckler.
In addition to her mother, her husband, William Walter McConnell, Jr. and her son, Reggie Lynn McConnell preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Mona Lisa Henley and husband, Rex; sons, Leon Williams and wife, Shannon and Roger McConnell and wife, Leisha; daughter in law, Vicki McConnell; sisters, Lois McConnell and Loretta Damon; grandchildren, Andrea Goakey, Edward Williams, Larissa Ragan, Zachary Collier and Morgan Williams; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Helen will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Faith Bible Tabernacle, Hiltons, VA with the Rev. Buford Blankenbeckler officiating. Singers of Faith Bible Tabernacle Church will provide the music.
Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 in memory of Helen F. McConnell.
