Larry Wayne McClellan, 60, Gate City, VA passed away, April 19, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. McClellan was born in Russell County, VA on January 28, 1952, son of the late Thomas F. and Estel Stallard McClellan.
In addition to his parents, his son, Dusty Allen McClellan and his twin brother, Gary McClellan preceded him in death.
He is survived by his widow, Cheryl Ann McClellan, Gate City, VA; children, Larry McClellan the second, Larry McClellan the third, Anthony McClellan, Franklin McClellan, Michelle Coleman, Linda McClellan, and Frances McClellan; step children, Michael Vaughters, Billy Meade, Jay Meade, Travis Meade, Emily Young, April White, and Laura Meade; sisters, Frieda Taylor, Debbie Ashburn, Peggy Ramey, Phyllis Killion, Charlotte Hileman, Anne Bradley, Jenny Davis; brothers, Bobby McClellan, Billy McClellan, Ernest Meade; brothers-in-law, Eugene Taylor, Verlin Hale, Bob Ramey, Ed Killion, Glen Bradley, Bernie Hileman, Jimmy Ashburn, Joseph Smith, Anthony Garcia, and Allen Pruitt; sisters-in-law, Lilly McClellan, Tonya McClellan, Edith Ford, Nancy Smith, Barbara Pruitt, Madeline Garcia, JoAnne Gray, Lisa Lafferty, Mary Dallas, Jane Meade, and Karla McClellan; grandsons, Christopher Coleman, Jr., Jason Wayne Coleman, Kody McClellan, Timmy McClellan, Anthony McClellan, Logan McClellan, James Patton McClellan, Andrew McClellan, David McClellan, Rodney French, Jr., and Brady White; granddaughters, Chesle McClellan, Payton McClellan, Sara McClellan, Kayla McClellan, Sophie McClellan, Saphire McClellan, and Crystal McClellan, Amarissa Meade, Kenley Meade, Natalie White, Payton Young, and Maggie Young; daughters-in-law, Amanda McClellan, Jennifer McClellan, Misty McClellan, Roxanne Stacy, and Trudy Vaughters, sons-in-law, Christopher Coleman, SR. and Patrick Young; he was also blessed with many wonderful nieces, nephews, and many friends; his special friend, James L. Lane.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012 and from 12-2 p.m., Tuesday at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Teddy Phillips officiating.
Per Mr. McClellan's wishes, his body will be cremated.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to his sister-in-law, Mary Dallas, who was his personal care assistant.
