Wilma Faye May, 89, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Friday, July 24, 2015 at NOVA Health and Rehab, Weber City, VA.
Wilma was born in Scott County, VA on March 28, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Madison and Lora Flanary Sluss.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Golden May; son, Jerry May; sister, Helen Lawson; and a brother, Cline Sluss preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Robert May and wife, Peggy, Ft. Blackmore, VA; grandchildren, Sherry Lell and Nicki Brewer; great grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Madyson Lell, Jared, Haley, Kaytee, and Jonathan; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. James Mann officiating. Toke Hensley and Babe Lawson will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Carter Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
