Tammy Michelle Mann, 40, entered into rest May 20, 2009 at Summitt Medical Center, Hermitage, TN.
She was born in Kingsport, TN April 26, 1969. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, L.D. and Hester Blessing; paternal grandparents, W.M. and Rhoda Hensley; step granddaughter, Maggie Campbell.
Tammy was an RN for 20 years and was employed by the Department of Corrections, Wallen Ridge State Prison. She was a member of Catron's Chapel Church, Yuma, VA.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Ricky Mann, Duffield, VA; daughter, Lorie Gibson, Yuma, VA; son, Zack Clark, Yuma, VA; brother, Jason Hensley, Yuma, VA; parents, Worley and Linda Hensley, Yuma, VA; step daughters, Melinda and Jason Campbell, Hiltons, VA, Marlana and Jason Dean, Nickelsville, VA, Traci and Marvin Dockery, Gate City, VA; step grandchildren, Owen and Ava Dean, Kelsey, Lauren and Logan Dockery, along with an expectant step granddaughter, Macie Campbell; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Cowan's Branch Baptist Church and anytime at the home of her parents, Worley and Linda Hensley. Services will be at 7 p.m. at the church with Evangelist Garry Hood and Bro. Larry Tolley officiating. Music will be provided by the Hensley Family Singers.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Blessing Cemetery, Yuma, VA. The family will meet at 1 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Thacker, Bruce Blessing, Greg Blessing, Bill Houseright, Lynn Jenkins, Mike Hensley.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.B. Hensley, Bobby Joe Pierson, Eldridge Dean, Bill Jenkins, Paul Collins, Cary Mann and Roger Baker.
