Cleo Pauline McConnell Mann, 95, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, September 08, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Mann was born in Scott County, VA on March 24, 1917 to the late Lawrence and Oshia Davidson McConnell.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Barney B. Mann; sister, Clarice McConnell Vicars and brother-in-law, Dwight Anthony Kilgore preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth McConnell Kilgore, Gate City, VA; brother, H.L. McConnell and wife, Martha, Gate City, VA; special niece and caregiver, Patti McConnell, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Odell Beauchamp officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Stephen Phillips, Jerry Kilgore, Danny Kilgore, Aaron Kilgore, Eric Ashworth, Eric Burke, and Brian Burke will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
The family wishes to thank her care givers, Donna Deahl, Janie Dixon, Teresa Golden, Margaret Holliman, and Beth Keys; Mountain States Hospice in Johnson City, TN; her special friends and neighbors, Beverly Brickey and Ina Miller for their love and support and to Mr. Dockery who took care of her yard.
