Tishie Virginia Fields Malone, 79, entered into rest Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap, VA.
She was born in Scott County, VA April 26, 1929 to the late Preston Fields and Josephine Jessee Elam.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Malone; brother, Ross Fields, Sr.; sister, Marcella Fritz; step father, Robert Elam and step mother, Grace Fields; nephew, Ross Fields, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Richard Atkins, Duffield, VA; grandson, Robert Atkins, NJ and two great grandsons, NJ; sister, Frances Dorton; brothers, Robert L. Fields and wife, Emaline, Lonnie Fields, Emmitt Fields; special friend, Edna Bowen, Duffield, VA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Music will be provided by the Lee Smith Singers.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at Jessee Family Cemetery, Cliff Mountain. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
